"I called to have my dining room light repaired, and to have a dimmer installed. They sent someone very quickly the next day. The tech came in and went straight to work. He was very nice. Only after he repaired my light, did he let me know the fix was temporary, and that I would have to have it replaced. I asked, "Why didn't you tell me that before you fixed it?" His response was, "I thought you knew." I let him know, had I known that before, I would have just bought a fixture and spent my money having the new one installed. Additionally, he told me he could install a dimmer, but he advised against it, because I had two light switches. I agreed not to add the dimmer. I received a bill itemized for repair of the fixture and install of a dimmer. I called the office to review my bill and try to pay it (there is no online payment portal). I explained what happened, and the rep said they would call me back. When he called back, he apologized for the miscommunication, but that the bill stood as is, because 2 hours is their minimum (this was the first I had heard of this). I let him know there was no miscommunication. There was an issue with the sequence of events, because telling me the repair was temporary should have occurred before the repair. Additionally, I was never told about the minimum bill either. The tech and phone rep were nice, but communication and transparency are not a priority for this company."
