"Tripled the quote I was originally given and only found out via emailed invoice after the job was done. Tom told me his son who quoted me "knows nothing about electrical" and that "I got a deal". Lied about original quote (of which I have text message proof). Told me how “not fun” the job he did for me was. Edited in response to owners response. Including text message quote and receipt (which I paid) which validates the above. I am a very reasonable person and can realize jobs can get more complicated, but not having a discussion with the customer about the very substantial change in price is just absurd. Then just sending an invoice. Then making it seem like I got a deal… and last time I checked most jobs aren’t “fun” and the only reason they finished at 6:30pm (the dark) is because they didn’t show up until noon. There’s nothing about me “doing the right thing” here. I am sharing my experience and backing it up with facts. Having transparent conversations upfront with your customers about scope and pricing seems like a perfectly reasonable ask. Lastly, like others have said, the work Tom does is quality. He did a good job and we are happy with the work product. I will update my rating to reflect."
